No upfront cost. If CareRoute helps reduce your final patient responsibility, our fee is 25% of the reduction, capped at $1,000. If we cannot find a path to reduce your bill, you owe nothing.

Example: Your $3,500 bill is reduced to $2,500, saving you $1,000. Your fee is $250. For larger reductions, the fee is capped at $1,000 regardless of how much we save.

What do I need to get started?
Just your bill (a photo or PDF works). If you have your Explanation of Benefits (EOB), that helps too, but it is not required. If we need additional records, we request them from your provider on your behalf.
How long does it take?
Uploading your bill takes under a minute. The full process typically takes 2 to 8 weeks depending on provider and insurer response times. We keep you updated throughout.
Can you help if I am uninsured?
Yes. Uninsured patients often have the most opportunities for reduction through self-pay discounts and hospital financial assistance programs. Some programs cover up to 100% of the bill depending on income.
What if you cannot reduce my bill?
You owe nothing. There is no fee unless your bill is reduced.
Do I need to make any phone calls?
No. After you upload your bill, we handle all communication with billing offices, providers, and insurers. You receive updates and approve any final outcomes.
Can you help with insurance claim issues?
Yes. We review denials, underpayments, incorrect cost-sharing, and deductible application. Depending on the issue, we work with the provider to correct and rebill the claim or follow up with the insurer.
Can you help if my medical bill is in collections?
Yes. For eligible medical bills, we can contact the collector, verify the balance, and pursue a negotiated settlement. We do not provide financing or set up payment plans.
